World's first electric car network to be in Israel

Electric cars acting as batteries for the energy grid
It's referred to as V2G - vehicle to grid - and there are claims that owners of electric cars could be making £2,000 a year selling power stored on their car's battery back to the energy grid. The concept has been around for a long time, but it's really starting to get traction now.

If Tesla = iPhone, Project Better Place = AT&T
Here are two organisations who look to me like they might just be aiming for success in the electric car market and for totally different reasons. One of them hails from Silicon Valley and adopts a typically left field approach to the sector while the other is a mainstream automotive player taking the opposite approach. One of them has an hourly R&D budget of ... $1 million. I'll let you guess which one that is.
