Nissan to unveil the Mixim 3 seater B-EV Concept at Frankfurt 2007
The strikingly designed 3 seater Mixim B-EV Concept Car from Nissan is to be revealed at the Frankfurt Auto Show, which runs 13- 23 September 2007. The unusual seating configuration sits the driver ahead of the two passenger seats and there is a fourth seat set behind the driving position designed for occasional use. This concept is designed to appeal to a younger audience who are familiar with digital gaming.

There is an AWD configuration with power being supplied to both axles from Nissan’s “Super Motor” electric drive system with a motor for each axle. It would seem that performance is the prime criterion behind this concept with packs of compact lithium-ion batteries providing the power. Nissan claims that the Mixim will demonstrate superior range and acceleration performance versus known existing or planned B-EV plug-in entrants. This is highlighted by the dramatic body styling, forward swivelling, gull-wing doors, and a super rakish glass-house. The overall styling looks as if it has been developed to maximise performance after extensive aero development in a wind tunnel.
The body shape accommodates a workmanlike load space, something that has not been typical of previous B-EVs. Nissan has not announced any firm production plan for Mixim, but it complies with Nissan’s “Green Programme,” the company stated mission to further sustainable automotive usage objectives to help build a greener society. You can not argue with that!
According to the US publication, “Automotive” the Mixim has a 2530 mm wheelbase, and is 3700mm long, 1800mm wide and 1400mm high. Mixim is shorter and lower than the current Nissan Micra, but slightly wider, and only weighing 950kg.
